How to Reposition the Taskbar in Windows 11
Windows 11 introduces a new centered taskbar design, similar to Apple’s layout. While some users appreciate the change, others prefer the traditional left-aligned taskbar found in older Windows versions. Thankfully, adjusting this setting is quick and easy. Here’s how to reposition your taskbar in Windows 11 to suit your preference.
Steps to Align the Taskbar to the Left
- Right-click on an empty space in your taskbar.
- Select Taskbar settings from the options.
- In the right pane, choose Taskbar behaviors.
- From the Taskbar alignment dropdown, select Left instead of Center.
Alternative Way to Align the Taskbar to the Left:
- Open the Settings app.
- Select Personalization.
- Click on Taskbar.
- Go to Taskbar behaviors.
- Use the Taskbar alignment dropdown to choose Left.
These simple adjustments can help users accustomed to the classic left-aligned taskbar feel more at home in Windows 11.
